To solve the problems in automatic transmission control system for tractor or the like that the driver's foot is tired with useless pedal operation and gear shift cannot be done in succession.
A vehicle comprises an auxiliary transmission in which a gear shift lever 1 changes over gear positions via a mechanical interlocking member, and a forward/backward changeover device 3 which can turns on and off transmission of revolution power of an engine by driving a clutch piston through hydraulic operation. A gripper of the gear shift lever 1 has an electric switch type operation part 4U (4D), and transmission of the revolution power of the engine is held in off state by the clutch piston over the pressing time of the switch. In addition, the switch also serves as a gearing electric switch and operates the clutch only under a predetermined condition.
