Abstract:

To provide a method for initializing a control system so as to enable the quick starting of an internal combustion engine controlled by the control system in an automobile.

In a method for initializing a control system for controlling an internal combustion engine 30 of a vehicle, a starting request probability is determined as a function of signals of a control system 20, and a starting request is determined as a function of signals of other measurement device 21. The method comprises the steps of inspecting the automatic rolling of the vehicle as a function of the measured starting request probability and preventing it, securing the break of a force transmission between the internal combustion engine and driven wheels, causing the internal combustion engine to start by an electric motor 36, synchronizing the control system and the internal combustion engine, so that the position of the internal combustion engine is detected by a control system 10, causing the motor to be non-operated, and turning the control system to a standby mode and standing by the starting request regardless of the sequence of these operations.
