PURPOSE: To improve a speed of issuing labels by a method wherein during the previous lavel issuing period the next article is subject to weighing and price calculation.

CONSTITUTION: As an aritcle to be weighed is placed on a scale 3, this is sensed by a weight sensing mechanism to start not only weight calculation in a weight calculating section but also price calculation in a price calculating section. At the same time, calculated results for weight and price of the article are obtained in a balance time. Then, the required data is printed on a label as a certain constant value during a label issuing period and the printed label is led out from an outlet 7. In this connection, as the next article is placed on the scale 3 during the previous label issuing period, it is subject to weighing and price calculation. So at the time that the label for the previous article is issued, a balance time required for the next article is significantly reduced. Thus, the stable calculated result can be obtained in a shorter time after issuing of the previous lavel and then, it supplied to a label issuing section as a constant value.
