Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control system for displaying a reduced speed for a vehicle, with a display device in good viewability with respect to a reduced speed displayed thereon.
SOLUTION: The control system for displaying a reduced speed for a vehicle is provided with an operative device 86 for selecting a running position (operative device for setting a reduced speed) with which to make speed-changing operations of reduced speeds of the vehicle, and with a display device 99 to display the determined reduced speed set by the operation of the operative device 86 for selecting a running position. If a determining means to determine whether a speed-reduction changing operation is under way or not, that is, a continuous determining means 114 for speed changing operations determines that a changing operation for setting a reduced speed initiated by the foregoing operative device 86 for selecting a running position is under way. A display control means 120 stops the immediately following display of the change-set reduced speed to which the speed has been change-set by the speed-reduction changing operation of the operative device 86 for selecting a running position, thus allowing a set reduced speed displayed on the display device 99 to cease to frequently or stepwise vary in response to the operation of changing the set speed, thereby enhancing the viewability of the display of a reduced speed during running.
