To provide a control system of four wheel drive which improves control response and prevents the occurrence of control hunting which repeats control for increasing the amount of driving force distributed to sub-driving wheels and control for decreasing it alternately.
The driving torque TENG corresponding to an output is determined from an engine output torque TRQEG by processes 201-204 and driving torque TDV corresponding to a rotational difference is determined from a difference DVW in rotating speed between the speed of the front wheels VWF and that of the rear wheels VWR by processes 205, 206. At the step 207, a value of either the driving torque TDV corresponding to the rotational difference or the driving torque TENG corresponding to an output, which is larger, is determined as the final driving torque TETS which is the driving torque of the sub-driving wheels.
