PURPOSE: To prevent a carrier from running away at a mulfunction time by transmitting a start command to a station to be controlled for starting when the designated station is disposed in the instructed acceleration/deceleration control mode and stop control mode.
CONSTITUTION: When a travel command is applied from a system controller 1 to a linear motor controller 2, an operation command is applied to the stations STbWSTd except the station STa to be started of the stations STaWSTd to be driven. In other words, an acceleration/deceleration command is applied to the control units 3b, 3c of the stations STb, STc, and a stop command is applied to the control unit 3d of the station STd. When the fact that the operation modes of the stations STbWSTd are converted to the instructed operation mode is confirmed, a start command is transmitted to the unit 3a of the station STa.
