Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress occurrence of blow back to a suction pipe while maintaining stability of compression self-ignition combustion.SOLUTION: An ECU 34 calculates a total injection amount of fuel required for output of required torque on the basis of the operation state of an engine 12, and also estimates an oxygen amount in a combustion chamber 18 during an NVO period. Then, the ECU 34 calculates a limitation amount of fuel combustible with the oxygen amount estimated during the NVO period, and determines an injection amount in a first fuel injection 14 from the total injection amount. The ECU 34 determines the injection amount in the first fuel injection 14 to be larger than the limitation amount when the engine 12 is in low load operation.
