PURPOSE: To enable a plurality of air conditioners to be controlled by a single timer independently on a group basis, by transferring group addresses and operating data between a central controller, a timer and an interface device, and storing an operating pattern of each control group into the interface device.
CONSTITUTION: An interface device 40 transfers data selectively set or modified by various operating switches between it and a central controller 50 and a timer 30, and stores the data into a storage circuit 44. A microcomputer 41 in the interface device 40 searches the data on each group stored in the storage circuit 44 for the group which has a change in operating mode, for example, a change from normal operation to stoppage, a change in a set shift operation under a set shift operation or a change from stoppage to the set shift operation, and transmits control words and group addresses and change data of the groups having the changes to the central controller 50. Then, the central controller 50 transmits new operational commands to air conditioners 1 in each group, thereby controlling the air conditioners 1.
