Abstract:
PURPOSE:To attain the servo circuit control in excellent way by detecting a resonance or vibration, changing the count value of a counter by a detecting signal and changing a transfer function, when the resonance or vibration takes place during the positioning of a servo head. CONSTITUTION:The servo head Hn1 reads out a signal from a servo plane of a magnetic disc, and the read-out signal comprises a synchronizing pulse SP read out from both odd and even tracks, a pulse signal OP from an odd number track and a pulse signal EP from the even track. When a pulse signal is inputted to a servo modulation circuit 1, the synchronizing pulse SP is extracted at a synchronizing pulse extraction circuit SPE and given to an N-CNT counter circuit. The circuit N-CNT changes the sampling rate, samples discrete position information consisting of a difference between the pulse signals OP and EP to form a positioning signal, and a high frequency component is eliminated by changing the counting of the counter so as to cope with the generation of resonance or the vibration.
