To provide a highly reliable control system for synchronous linear motor in which phase matching can be carried out easily between phase Z, serving as the start point of a sine wave CS counter, and the induction voltage of the motor.
The control system for synchronous linear motor comprising a pole detector, and a linear scale outputting signals of phases A, B having a phase difference of 90° and a signal of phase Z outputted once at a constant interval equal to n times of the pole over the entire length in synchronism with the signals of phases A, B comprises a sine wave CS counter for counting the phases A, B starting from the signal of phase Z, a circuit 7 generating a current control distribution signal for sine wave driving of linear motor drive current, a correction means, i.e., a correction value counter 4, for electrically matching the phase between the current control distribution signal for sine wave driving starting from the signal of phase Z and the output signal from the pole detector synchronized with the induction voltage of a motor, a storage means 5, and an adding means 6 wherein the correction means corrects the phase shift to supply a drive current in phase with the induction voltage of the motor.
