Title:
CONTROL OF TRANSISTOR INVERTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5566289
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce power losses at switching by turning on a transistor at a zero point of a load current, and obtaining a transistor storage time at the latter half of the half cycle of the load current. CONSTITUTION:A load current flowing through a load 8 such as an induction furnace and the like is detected by a zero-voltage detector 11 and input to a phase- locked loop 12 as a reference signal P1, and a feedback input signal P2, which is synchronized with P1, is fed back. The output of the phase-locked loop 12 is given to AND gates 16 and 17 through a first frequency divider 13, a monostable multivibrator 15 which generates a signal whose time width corresponds to the storage time of switching transistors 3 and 4, and a second frequency dvider 14, and controls the transistors 3 and 4. Since the switch is turned on at zero point of the load current and is always turned off with a small current, the losses are greatly minimized.
