This control unit used for the ground implement and equipped with a controller which is liftably disposed in the implement 7, controls the turning operation of a machine frame for performing a ground work and simultaneously traveling, and controls the operation and elevation of the implement 7 in interlock with the turning operation. The controller 22 controls the elevation of the implement 7 to a prescribed height on the basis of the detection of the stop of the machine frame due to the finish of the machine frame-advancing operation, and then controls the backward movement of the machine frame at a prescribed distance.
