Abstract:

To prevent the same data from being written in plural data carriers by detecting that plural data carriers are in existence in a communication area.

A diameter of a transmission coil L1 is selected smaller than a diameter of a reception coil L2 and arranged behind the reception coil. Furthermore, a Manchester code is used for a communication signal and an inverted two-consecutive error detection circuit 24 detects an inverted two-consecutive error being consecutive logic levels in the same period. Thus, the presence of plural data carriers in the communication area is detected.
