Abstract:

To provide a control unit for a lockup clutch capable of prolonging the fuel cut time.

When the operation is made out of the decelerative slip execute minimum gearing stage in the condition that a decelerative slip control is continued with a target slip amount (NO at S13), judgement is made whether the input shaft revolving speed NT of a transmission has attained the specified down-shift judging revolving speed NT1 (S14). When the speed becomes below the specified down-shift judging revolving speed NT1 (NO at S14), a down-shift is conducted (S15), and the clutch pressure is controlled so that the engine speed NE becomes the target engine speed TNE (S16).
