Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the subject control unit for a papermaking machine designed to control the basis weight in the width direction of paper and produce paper with a favorable basis weight profile.
CONSTITUTION: The characteristic of this control unit for a papermaking machine is that at least one air spray nozzle 11 is set up at local site(s) of ≤100mm width in the width direction of a wire part relative to the wire width direction. It is preferable that the air nozzle's) be set up at specific site(s) biased toward the dry line in the flow direction to carry out the local control of papermaking basis weight profile.
