To provide a control valve assembly for omitting a normal service part for a standard AB type cargo vehicle brake control valve, to utilize an emergency part only for controlling a backup pneumatic brake to an electropneumatic brake system.
In refilling a brake tube succeeding emergency brake actuation, a control chamber, for a restraining valve 42 into which brake cylinder pressure is supplied via high-pressure spool valve, is ventilated to the atmosphere, or brake cylinder pressure in a reverse damping passage 72 is separated from a brake tube, to ventilate a void 74 for a check valve to the atmosphere by using a plug 70 instead of a quick action emergency relaxing sheck valve. A means for discharging the brake cylinder pressure via the passage 72 can be realized, by displacing a reverse damp and spool valve to a relaxing position by an emergency piston during refilling the brake valve succeeding the emergency brake action.
