CONSTITUTION: On an inner surface of a battery jar end of a control valve type storage battery, a plurality of ribs are provided so that ribs which project longer toward the inside of the battery jar than both side ribs exist in the central part, or on the inner surface of the battery jar ends, a thick wall portion having a central part projecting farther inward of the battery jar than both sides thereof is provided.EFFECT: Change in the inside dimensions of a cell is suppressed when a battery jar is expanded. Consequently, reduction amount of liquid is reduced, and the life performance is enhanced when in deep discharge cycle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
