Title:
CONTROL VALVE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS56131878
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To suppress occurrence of secondary vibration or the like at the time of turbine by-pass operation, by preventing direct collision of jet streams of steam against the valve rod of a control valve. CONSTITUTION:When a valve rod 3 is urged upward, a valve body 2 is moved away from a valve seat 4. Here, since stream lines SL are inclined downward at an outlet angle theta of a cage 12, steam is made to flow along the surface of valve seat 4 as shown in the drawing. If the stream lines SL collide directly against a guide piece 5 after passing through ports 21, vibration of the guide piece 5 is very small since collision energy possessed by each stream line SL is extremely small. Further, if the collision energy is great, so much influence is not applied to the valve body 2 and the valve rod 3 since the jet streams of steam do not collide directly against the valve rod 3. Therefore, when the control valve is opened rapidly at the time of disconnecting the load, vibration of the valve due to the steam flow can be prevented, and at the same time, minute natural vibration of the valve body possibly caused at the time of operating the valve can also be absorbed by a guide 13 and seal rings 11.
