PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compositions and methods for the treatment of otic diseases or conditions.SOLUTION: Auris sensory cell modulating agent compositions and formulations containing an ototoxic agent comprising a toxicant (e.g., gentamicin) are administered locally to an individual afflicted with an otic disease or condition. The administration is through direct application of these compositions and formulations onto or via perfusion into targeted auris structures.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
