Abstract:
To provide a method and composition for the controlled release of peptide or protein agent, and methods of manufacturing a composition and a device useful for the controlled release of the peptide or protein agents.
This invention relates to a composition for the controlled release of peptide or protein, having a biocompatible, bioerodible polymer wherein a glassy matrix phase containing the peptide or protein and a thermal protecting agent is dispersed. The glassy matrix phase has a glass transition temperature higher than the melt point of the polymer.
