Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the length of a final material almost coarse split length without providing a chopping shear in the line of a split shear.
SOLUTION: The controller is equipped with an arithmetic and logic unit 23 operating the number P of cut pulses at a rear end or (P+ΔP) so that the length of a rolled material from and after a final coarse split cut becomes a prescribed coarse split length by using a pulse generator 20 detecting the feed length of a rolling material 10 from a stand 11 as the number of pulses, a pulse counter 21, etc., a resistor 22 reading out the number of the pulses for each coarse split cut by the split shear 16, the number of pulses for each coarse split cut, and the set value and the present value of the number of the coarse split cuts by the split shear 16. When the count valve of the pulse counter 21 coincides with the number P of the cut pulses at the rear end or the (P+ΔP), a cutting command to a crop shear 14 is generated.
