Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the quality of a magnetic sound causing harmonic components by varying the output voltage generation timing with time, such that the frequency of harmonic components of the output voltage is distributed within a specified frequency range.
SOLUTION: Based on the comparison of amplitude between a phase voltage command signal Vu*, Vv*, Vw* and a triangular carrier signal from a carrier signal generation means 3, a switching signal generation means 5 delivers on/off signals to the semiconductor switch in an inverter circuit 1. The semiconductor switch in the three-phase inverter circuit 1 is turned on/off, in response to these on/off signals and produces an AC voltage, where the time mean value of a clock signal for one period matches that of the phase voltage command signal. When the output voltage generation timing is varied, the frequency of the harmonic components of the output voltage can be distributed over as wide a range as possible, without containing the inherent vibration frequency of an AC motor, and the magnetic sound can be improved and be conductive to listening with ears.
