PURPOSE: To make it very easy to attach and remove a remote control portion and ease the attitude of a user in performing the control of operation input by providing the storage portion of a remote control portion above the protecting net of an electric fan or on the seat of the protecting net.

CONSTITUTION: A remote control portion 4 is disconnected from a storage portion 5 and an optical signal is emitted from ahead of an electric fan toward a transmitting body 12 whereby normal remote control is carried out. While the remote control portion 4 is stored in the storage portion 5, the optical signal from the remote control portion 4 is curved in the direction of the transmitting body 12 by the action of a reflecting body 6. When stored in the storage portion 5 the remote control portion 4 is located at the highest position of the electric fan main body so a user can easily attach and remove the remote control portion and perform operating input control without stooping down.
