PURPOSE: To appropriately control various kinds of engine regardless of existence of operation of a heat accumulator by increasingly/decreasingly correcting an engine control quantity in response to an engine temperature, and also varying/correcting the increase/decrease correction quantity in its magnitude in response to kinds of engine control at the time of operating the heat accumulator for heating the engine.
CONSTITUTION: A heat accumulator 51 is additionally mounted on an engine 1, and this heat accumulator 15 is constituted by arranging a heat accumulating material 53 and a temperature sensor 59 inside a heat accumulating tank 55. On the other hand, respective detection signals from an intake air temperature sensor 7, an air flow meter 9, a throttle sensor 13, an air-fuel ratio sensor 39 and a water temperature sensor 49, etc., in an engine 1 besides the temperature sensor 59 are inputted in a controller 61 serving as a correction means and a correction quantity varying means respectively. The respective control signals from a bypassing air control solenoid 17, a fuel injection valve 23, an ignition mechanisms 25, 27 29, 31, an EGR control valve 43 and a purge valve 47 are outputted based on the temperature of the engine 1 by the controller 61, when the operation of the heat accumulator 51 is judged based on the detection signals from the temperature sensor 59.
