To provide a controller of a front-and-rear-wheel drive vehicle, which can securely prevent the connection shock of a clutch holding and cutting off the connection between either of the front and rear wheel and an electric motor for driving the wheels, so that the structure of the clutch is simplified, the size of the clutch is reduced, and the durability of the clutch is improved.
The controller of the front-and-rear wheel drive vehicle 2 is provided with an ECU 30, wherein the front wheel is driven with an engine 3 and the rear wheel is driven with the electric motor 4 via an intermediate shaft 11. The ECU 30 controls the motor revolution NMOT of the electric motor 4 so that NMOT coincides with the target motor revolution NMOTCMD when a vehicle speed V car is lower than the upper limit speed VMOTCLL/H (step 30 to 50), and connects the clutch between the intermediate shaft 11 and the electric motor 4 when the absolute value of a rotation deviation DN-C LUCH-R becomes smaller than a prescribed value DN-CL-REV (steps 23, 24).
