Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance energy efficiency of a vehicle during regenerative operation of a traveling motor.
SOLUTION: During regenerative operation of a traveling motor 15, the controller 20 calculates a regenerable power based on the vehicle speed, or the like, and calculates a chargeable power of a capacitor 13 based on a detected voltage between the terminals of the capacitor 13. If the chargeable power exceeds the regenerable power, the controller 20 sets a fuel cell 11 and the capacitor 13 in a directly connected state and a power generation command corresponding to the detected voltage between the terminals of the capacitor 13 equivalent to the output voltage from the fuel cell 11 is delivered to an S/C output controller 17. In response to the power generation command, reaction gas is supplied and the capacitor 13 is charged with power generated from the fuel cell 11 and power regenerated from the traveling motor 15. If the chargeable power is lower than the regenerable power, the controller 20 interrupts the fuel cell 11 and the capacitor 13 electrically and inhibits charging of the capacitor 13 with power generated from the fuel cell 11.
