To provide a controller for a hot air type heater providing easy confirmation to a user of what warning has been sent even when a state of combustion flame recovers naturally after carrying out warning sound signaling calling attention that the state of the combustion flame is deteriorating.
A control means 8 is provided for continuing display prompting ventilation in a ventilation lamp 5a provided in an operation display part 5 while a flame current value detected by a flame current detecting means 4 for detecting a flame current flowing between a burner 2 and a flame rod 3 via the combustion flame is less than a predetermined current value, outputting a warning sound prompting ventilation by a sound signaling means 6 for a predetermined time every predetermined timing, and continuing the display prompting ventilation in the ventilation lamp 5a even when the flame current recovers to the predetermined current value or more until a predetermined time passes from a start of the warning sound signaling.
