Abstract:

To prevent knocking and the like, without changing the total torque of power plants.

The controller is for parallel hybrid automobile, provided both with an engine E and with a motor M as power plants for the vehicles. A torque command distributing means 10 calculates a command value if total torque to be output from both the engine E and the motor M, from an accelerator opening signal. The torque command distracting means also calculated a command value of engine torque in the total torque, to be output from the engine E. A torque distribution correcting means 20 corrects the command value of engine torque, based on the condition of the vehicle, such as knocking, and calculates a new command value for the engine torque, The torque distribution correcting means 20 also calculates a command value of motor torque to be output from the motor M, based on the command value of engine torque and the command value of total torque. Torque which is equivalent to engine torque but reduced for the prevention of knocking is compensated for, by the use of the motor torque.
