To prevent rattling sound from being generated in a shift mode switching period.
This hybrid vehicle (1) includes: a power transmission mechanism (300) which is equipped with a plurality of rotation elements each having backlash in the rotational direction, and which transmits torque between a driving shaft connected to an axle and an internal combustion engine (200) and a rotation electrical machine (MG2); and a lock means (500) configured to selectively switch the state of one rotation element (S1) between a lock state and an unlock state. This hybrid vehicle (1) further includes: a discrimination means (100) for discriminating whether or not the input/output torque (Tm) of the rotation electrical machine strides across an avoidance region set as a region where a rattling sound is generated in a process wherein the input/output torque (Tm) is converged into target torque in the switching period of a shift mode; and a control means (100) for, when it is discriminated that the input/output torque strides across the avoidance region, controlling the input/output torque in such a manner that the switching period of the shift mode and the period when the input/output torque strides across the avoidance region can be prevented from overlapping with each other.
