Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for a hybrid vehicle capable of intending to make a motor generator small capacity as well as to ensure a wide range of shift while securing durability and reliability of the motor generator without providing unpleasant feeling due to the unintentional reduction of output power of an engine during driving.
SOLUTION: In the controller for the hybrid vehicle having a hybrid driving system with a Ravigneaux type combined planetary gear row 3 in which four elements of a first motor generator MG1, the engine 1, an output gear 4, and a second motor generator MG2 are coupled such that they arranged in the order of their rotating speed, and having an engine controller 21, motor controller 23, and hybrid controller 26, the control equipment has an objective engine power calculating portion 53 calculating an objective engine power Pe, and an overdrive changing gear ratio upper limit determining portion 54 carrying out motor control in which the greater becomes the objective engine power Pe, to the lower side is shifted a overdrive changing gear ratio upper limit value iHi.
