PURPOSE: To prevent a hybrid vehicle from becoming impossible to control by supplying the output of operating means directly to fuel supply amount regulating means or supplying power regulating means when a malfunction occurs in control means for controlling an internal combustion engine and a motor.
CONSTITUTION: A microcomputer 3 is set with data for controlling an engine 1 and a motor 2 in the best fuel consumption efficiency in variously running states, and applies a control signal to a chopper controller 20 and a pulse motor controller 23 in response to the depressed stroke of an accelerator pedal 15 and a vehicle speed detection signal. When a malfunction occurs in the microcomputer 3, a power source for a pulse motor 25 is interrupted, and an electromagnetic clutch 36 becomes energized state to couple the pedal 15 with the rotational shaft of the motor 25. In this manner, it can prevent the vehicle from becoming impossible to control.
