Abstract:
To provide a controller which can make a highly accurate and rapid focus detection.SOLUTION: A controller (10) includes: focus detection means (103) for performing focus detection of a phase difference system on the basis of an image signal output from an imaging element (102) for photoelectrically converting an optical image formed through an imaging optical system (100); driving means (110, 111) for changing the relative position between the imaging optical system (100) and the imaging element (102); and control means (109) for controlling the driving means (110, 111) and focus detection means (103) so that focus detection is performed under the condition that the relative position between the imaging optical system (100) and the imaging element (102) is changed to a first position and a second position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
