To provide an indoor open type combustor preventing burdening of a user with unnecessary service such as repairs when ignition is not detected and operation is stopped even though normal ignition has been carried out.
The indoor open type combustor is provided with a burner 1, a flame rod 3, a power source part 4 applying a direct current voltage between the burner 1 and the flame rod 3, a flame current detecting means 5 for detecting a flame current, an anomaly determining means 7 for determining that there is an anomaly such as shorting due to soot or the like between the burner and the flame rod when a signal from the flame current detecting means 5 is a first predetermined value or more before ignition operation, an ignition determining means 8 for determining that normal ignition has been carried out when the signal from the flame current detecting means 5 is a second predetermined value or more after starting the ignition operation, and a determination level changing means 9 for changing a determination level of the ignition determining means 8 in response to a flame current value from the flame current detecting means 5 before the ignition operation.
