Abstract:
To detect clogging of a communication hole.SOLUTION: An auxiliary chamber (51) having an auxiliary fuel injection valve (53) is formed on the top surface of a main combustion chamber (2), and when air-fuel mixture in the auxiliary chamber (51) is combusted, air-fuel mixture in the main combustion chamber (2) is combusted by jet flame ejected from a communication hole (52). The clogging of the communication hole (52) is detected from the change in the combustion state in the main combustion chamber (2) at the time when injection timing of auxiliary fuel from the auxiliary fuel injection valve (53) is shifted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
