Abstract:
PURPOSE:To contrive to improve fuel consumption and drivability of a vehicle by supplying a line pressure to a lock up relay valve and a solenoid valve for its control when the whole automatic speed change gear, which has a main and an auxiliary speed change gears, is shifted to a second gear speed and over. CONSTITUTION:When the whole automatic speed change gear which consists of a third gear speed main speed change gear and a second gear speed auxiliary speed change gear is in the condition of a second gear speed and over, ports a and u in a cut valves communicates with each other and a line pressure from the port a is supplied to an oil passages u1 and u2. In this condition, when a solenoid valve for lock up use is turned on an oil pressure is supplied to a control oil chamber u3 in a relay valve 49 so as to change the valve 49 over to the right half position. As a result of this, a converter pressure from an oil passage M is introduced, through ports M and Q1, into a lock up on port Q2 in a torque converter 2 so as to connect a lock up clutch 12.
