To provide a controller for motor which is possible of higher input and where the input control by phase control can materialize in a wide range.
A vacuum cleaner includes an electric blower (motor) which has at least two input terminals on high input side and low input side, and a control means which controls the input of the electric blower, by switching the connection into a desired input terminal. This controller performs operation for a specified time with an input terminal on low input side when starting the electric blower. When the electric blower is started, it is surely driven with low input for a specified time, thus this controller can materialize the control that can cope with flicker, by materializing higher input and reducing the current at start.
