Abstract:
PURPOSE:To simplify the circuit configuration by controlling a drive current of a motor in response to the difference between the counted value of a counter which counts the output pulse width of a digital encoder and the output of a variable frequency oscillator. CONSTITUTION:A counter 3 counts one period of the output pulses of a digital encoder 2 which is mounted on the output shaft of a DC motor 1 via clock pulses, and the counted result value is applied to a latch circuit 4. A calculator 5 applies a deviation between the output of the latch circuit 4 and a reference value of the frequency corresponding to the desired rotating speed of the motor to an amplifier 7 for driving the motor 1 through a digital-to-analog converter 6. In this manner, the speed of the motor can be controlled in a wide range without varying the servo characteristics by the minimum limit counter.
