Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent damage to a burner and a furnace wall by burning and prevent decrease of the output of a boiler to an unnecessarily low output by a method wherein the maximum of the amount of fuel which can be fed is obtained on the basis of the difference between the heat input per unit burner and the allowable heat input of the burner and an amount of fuel based on the result is fed.
CONSTITUTION: A signal 35 representing the maximum amount of coal which can be fed per unit burner is obtained by calculating from a signal 33 representing an allowable heat input of a burner and from a signal 34 representing a set calorific value of coal set by a setting means 11 of the calorific value of coal. By calculating from the signal 35 representing the maximum amount of coal which can be fed per unit burner and from a signal 39 representing a set number of burners given by a setting means 14 of the number of burners per unit mill a signal 36 representing the maximum amount of coal which can be fed per unit mill, which is obtained, is compared with a signal 37 representing an amount of coal supply to be demanded of a coal feeder and the lower value of the two is used as a signal 38 representing a command to the coal feeder for a supply of coal. As a result, the heat input per unit burner is kept from exceeding the limit.
