Abstract:
PURPOSE: To heighten the cutoff accuracy of a rotary shearing machine for cutting off irregular-length workpieces to a prescribed length sequentially and simplify the circuit construction of a controller as much as possible.
CONSTITUTION: The addition and subtraction of signals (L0-A), (B0-B) are digitally performed. Only a digital output (L0-A)-(B0-B), which shows the number of error pulses, needs to be converted into a signal of DC level. Since the number of error pulses is converted into the signal of DC level by only one A/D converter 14, the accuracy of cutoff is enhanced. Therefore, compared to a conventional case employing two A/D converters, the circuit construction is simplified to be more economic.
