Abstract:

PURPOSE: To stop a loom at a right definite position regardless of value of load by controlling at least either one of brake torque of brake and brake starting angle based on the load from a load detecting means.
CONSTITUTION: A crank angle θ which an encoder EN connected to a main spindle MS of a loom detects inputs to a comparator 41 and a load detecting means 11 consisting of a current transfer CT interposed in a power line detects electric current I which flows to a loom motor M and inputs to a control means 20 consisting of a function generator 21. The function generator 21 determines excitation voltage V to the input current I. When any stopping cause occurs now and stopping signal is output to the loom, the comparator 41 compares the crank angle θ with control starting angle θ of a setting unit 42 and when θis θs, a braking signal Sb inputs to an excitation circuit BC and the excitation circuit BC excites a brake B according to brake torque by the excitation voltage Vx to stop the loom at a definite position.
