To correct an offset error of a gyro sensor in the tracking method of on-vehicle satellite reception antenna using the gyro sensor
An antenna 10 is driven to be rotated by a stepping motor 16 and a controller 26 decides a drive amount of the stepping motor 16 based on an output from a vibration gyro 18 and a reception signal intensity from a BS tuner 14. When the reception level is higher, the controller 26 conducts step tracking. When the reception level is at a prescribed level or over for a prescribed time or over, the controller 26 discriminates it that a vehicle is in non-swing state and calculates the mean value of gyro outputs for the time to obtain an offset value. After the offset is calculated, the offset error included in the vibration gyro 18 is corrected and the antenna 10 is driven.
