Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the possibility of a vehicle colliding with an article, with a vehicular speed zero or close thereto, in a case where a vehicle driver mistakenly steps on the accelerator pedal when the article exists ahead of the vehicle in the progress direction thereof.SOLUTION: A control apparatus performs: limiting output torque so as to be at first torque or less, in a case where a vehicular speed is lower than a first threshold, with an assumption that a driver of a vehicle mistakenly operates an accelerator operator at an operation amount being larger than a threshold operation amount; forcibly braking the vehicle with a brake device, in a case where the vehicular speed is equal to or higher than a second threshold, with article-reaching time of the vehicle equal to or less than a threshold; and limiting output torque so that the output torque is equal to or less than second torque that is equal to or more than given torque, in a case where a vehicular speed reaches the second threshold before the article-reaching time becomes equal to or less than a threshold, followed by executing forcible braking control as a result of a forcible braking condition being established, under an assumption that a torque limit condition is established, and that the output torque is given torque that is larger than the first torque.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
