PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device that can improve travel safety even while a sub-gate is open.SOLUTION: The vehicle control device includes: open/close state detection means 101 for detecting an open/close state of the sub-gate 25; posture determination means 102 for determining whether stopper members 26A to 26C are in a standing state; and permission means 104 for permitting a vehicle 10 to travel at a faster speed than a prescribed speed based on a condition that at least the stopper members 26A to 26C are in the standing state when the sub-gate 25 is in an open state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
