PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular control system capable of appropriately implementing coasting control without degrading drivability even when a vehicle is run on an uphill road.SOLUTION: A vehicular control system that includes a clutch mechanism which selectively connects or disconnects a power transmission path between a driving force source and driving wheels and that disconnects the power transmission path during running of a vehicle so as to allow the vehicle to coast includes means for detecting a vehicle velocity, means for detecting a gradient of a running road, implementation means (step S6) that, when an accelerator depression magnitude is returned to a predetermined depression magnitude or less during the running, implements coasting control under which the vehicle is allowed to coast by disengaging the clutch mechanism so as to disconnect the power transmission path, and inhibition means (steps S3, S4, S5, and S7) that, if the running road is an uphill road and the relationship between the gradient and vehicle velocity satisfies a predetermined condition, inhibits the implementation of coasting control.
