To provide a gas transportation system managing method for efficiently acquiring/transferring data and effectively utilizing the data.
A reporting function is given to a gas controller for a gas transportation system, and sensor data is received through an input port and stored in a memory. To the controller with the reporting function, a unique identification number such as a MAC address is assigned so that the received sensor data is marked with an attribute such as the identification number, a time stamp or a date stamp. The marked data is transferred to a database location. The marked data can be timely and spatially reconfigured by a central computer, utilizing the attribute. A processor uses the data to monitor, characterize and control a whole gas transportation system. The marked data is used to temporally spatially and accurately obtain a system event.
