Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve fuel feeding in acceleration and acceleration performance, by installing a movable cylinder acting as a resistor in the negative-pressure chamber of a constant negative pressure type carburetor and reducing the speed of elevation of a piston valve, while keeping the normal lowering speed.

CONSTITUTION: On the piston valve 2 which is fixed with a diaphragm 4 and moves up and down, a jet needle 10 is mounted to control the fuel feeding amount to an intake passage 1a according to the position of the valve 2. In the negative pressure chamber 5 which is formed dividedly by the diaphragm 4, a guide rod 6 is suspended from an upper cover 3, and onto the rod 6, a movable cylinder 7 which moves up and down is inserted. In closing of the valve 2, the movable cylinder 7 contacts with the top part of the valve 2 through a sealing member 8. When the valve 2 is elevated by the negative pressure which is introduced into the chamber 5 through a jet hole 7a, the movable cylinder acts as the resistor for the valve 2.
