Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce the usage of a pH regulator and to easily control the concn. of metallic ion and hydrogen ion by using insoluble and soluble anodes and controlling the amount of electrification of at least insoluble anode in accordance with the concn. of hydrogen ion incorporated in electroplating liquid. CONSTITUTION:Plating is performed on a cathode 10 by electrifying a soluble anode 9 and an insoluble anode 8 for performing electrolysis which are provided to a plating tank 1 from a rectifier 11. In the above-mentioned electroplating device, the concn. of hydrogen ion incorporated in plating liquid 3 which is introduced into a pH measurement tank 2 via an overflow tank 12 from the plating tank 1 is measured with a pH measuring apparatus 5 and thereafter returned to the plating tank 1 with a pump 4 and circulated. The current electrifying at least insoluble anode 8 is controlled with a current controller 6 in accordance with the above-mentioned concn. of hydrogen ion without changing the total amounts of electrification for plating. Thereby the usage of a pH regulator can be reduced and the concn. of metallic ion and the concn. of hydrogen ion incorporated in the plating liquid 3 are easily controlled.
