PURPOSE: To realize the title controlling device efficiently sorting mixed rice mixed with a large amt. of green rice.

CONSTITUTION: An optical paddy/husked rice discrimination sensor, a sensor moving means reciprocally moving the paddy/husked rice discrimination sensor between the husked rice partition plate 18 and paddy partition plate 19 in the grains of rice during flowing-down from the discharge side of the shaking sorting plate 15 of a shaking sorter, a paddy/husked rice discrimination means discriminating between paddy and husked rice on the basis of the change rate of the detection value obtained at the time of the movement of the paddy/ husked rice discrimination sensor and judging such a state that the detection value of the paddy/husked rice discrimination sensor repeats an increase and a decreases as husked rice and a paddy partition plate control signal output means outputting the control command signal of the husked rice partition plate 18 on the basis of the discrimination of paddy and husked rice of the paddy/husked rice discrimination means are provided. Even when mixed rice containing a large quantity of green rice is detected, both of husked rice and green rice distribution flow areas can be judged as a husked rice distribution flow area and green rice and husked rice can be partitioned by the husked rice partition plate 18 to be taken out and the sorting efficiency of the shaking soter can be enhanced.
