Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable an electric motor to be operated on the most efficient condition at all times, by operating the electric motor by an operation voltage to be decided by the maximum-efficiency operation frequency matching a set rpm and the minimum current value of the motor. CONSTITUTION:A frequency setter 1 has in its memory operation frequencies to display the maximum efficiency in all the set revolutions, and when a set revolution signal omegam' is put in, an operation frequency signal f1' is put out, and an inverter 2 drives an electric motor 3 at the frequency f1 matching this. A signal I1' corresponding to primary current of the motor 3 is detected by a current detecting circuit 7, and a voltage adjuster 8 puts out a voltage signal V1 to minimize the primary current I1 and also puts out a voltage signal Vm' for the time when the primary current I1 is minimum. A voltage setter 5 keeps in its memory an operation voltage Veta which maximamizes efficiency mathcing the primary voltage Vm, and an output voltage of the inverter becomes Veta when an operation voltage signal Veta, matching Vm' is put out.
