To provide a controlling device of swell of a blanket for printing which enables execution of drying under a control so that the state of the blanket for printing after the drying is made uniform with excellent reproducibility, and offset printing equipment.
The blanket 1 for printing and a blanket cylinder 2 are covered with a closing-up mechanism and the amount of swell of the blanket is monitored by a sensor 3 on the occasion when each sort of technique selected from drying with a change of temperature conditions, drying under reduced pressure, forced drying with a fluid used, drying by contact of a solvent absorbing film, etc. is executed solely or in appropriate combination with others, in conformity with the physical properties of the blanket being used.
